The other day I met with Ms Josie for her 9 month session. This girl is growing up way too fast
She’s such a doll and her sister Presley is just as sweet. Here are a few favorites I wanted to share! Enjoy

Thank you for coming by. I am a wife to the most amazing man in the world, a mother to 2 of the most handsome little boys ever that have consumed my whole heart and a photographer in the best little town called Lagrange. My journey into photography happened by chance after the birth of my first son. I would find myself taking his picture everyday because I was just so in love with him that I wanted to capture every little thing he was doing. Then after the birth of my second son and many hours, months and years later of learning the "How to's" of photography, 'Honeybee Photography by Melissa Cotton' was born. Here on this blog you will find sneak peaks of my favorite shots from current photo sessions I have done. Feel free to let me know what you think. I love reading all of your sweet comments, they make my day.
I would be honored if you choose me as your photographer because what better way to remember your childs silly laugh, your newborns first days or how you felt when you first got engaged than thru a photograph. It is my goal to not only capture these memories for you but to give you memories that you can look back on for years to come.

Today was my oldest sons’ birthday, he was a BIG 4 years old! I LOVE him so much and just hate that he’s growing up on me so fast, please my heart, slow down…..way down! We love you bunches, Mommy, Daddy & Jacob!

- Aunt ABI loves you bunches too. Man he is one cutie pie=)January 28, 2010 - 7:30 pm
Wow, I’m so late in getting this post up but with a sick baby, a sick puppy and a husband recooperating from acl replacement knee surgery our household has been anything but orderly these last 2 weeks. It was so nice to meet Parker the other day for his 3 month pictures. He was such a cutie pie and I just loved his little mohawk!! Here’s your sneak peak Jennifer and I should have the others coming your way in the next couple of days, Enjoy!!

The other night I took the boys downstairs to get their pictures made. Well if you don’t know my 2 it’s alot easier to talk about getting them done then it is to take them. I stress out everytime I think about taking them more or less getting them to cooporate, which is another job in itself! I don’t know what it is about us photographer’s kids, they are the hardest to photograph! Even some bribery of candy and cookies didn’t work. Maybe when they get a bit older a dollar or two might do the trick. Until then I’m gonna keep trying
This was the only descent picture out of about 150 that I took and it looks as though Thomas doesn’t want to be next to Jacob but in actuallity it’s Jacob who doesn’t want Thomas to have his arm around him so he’s moving over. Oh my boys, I love ‘em so! Enjoy….

- Awww they are so adorable Melissa! I know how you feel, it can be frustrating when they won't coroporate!January 9, 2010 - 7:23 pm
Yesterday’s session was with 9 month old Michael. He was so funny at times and yet for most of the session he was so serious too. I loved all of the looks he gave me
